Clearance Heroes

FAQ

If you have a few questions ahead of a booking, or you're just inquisitive, you're in the right spot.

Some aspects of waste clearance are a bit of a mystery to the general public. We’re open, honest and love to talk about what we do. It’s time to de-mystify, and provide as many answers as possible to all your questions.

Is your question missing? We want to help!

What do you collect?

Pretty much everything! While most of our customers use Clearance Heroes for things like house clearances, and general waste, we don’t limit the service. Just run anything unusual or hazardous by us and we’ll cheerfully provide advice.

Can I pay by card/bank transfer/cash?

Yes to all! It’s important that we make things as easy as possible for everyone!

Do you have any discounts or offers?

Great question. We always provide savings where possible. The biggest cost saver is if you’re able to get items outside for a speedy kerbside collection.

Do you just take everything to our local tip?

Waste carriers must use commercial recycling centres and waste transfer stations, which charge for use. Your free local tip is typically for domestic use only. Your collection will be delivered to one of our frequent recycling centres in Kent and London.

How long will it take to clear everything?

Single item collections are completed within a matter of moments! Whereas a house clearance would take longer. Loose materials and items cleared are usually around an hour per tonne.

How much does it cost?

Our pricing page provides a nice general guide. In short, collections usually work out to around 40 pence per kg. Furniture around £10-£30 per item. Some items carry a surcharge (fridges, mattresses, tyres).

Are you licensed and insured?

Fantastic question. It’s one of the most important things to know when choosing a collection service. Naturally, Clearance Heroes are fully licensed and have 5M public liability insurance.
